About Me

Artist Statement

I am a social activist creating art with an environmental narrative. My work relies heavily on the use of quirky symbols, ambiguous imagery and incorporates oceanic and nautical themes.

As a recent graduate with a degree in Environmental Studies, I spent a lot of time learning about environmental problems, and not a lot of time learning about how to fix them. Having little faith in government and economics to effectively address these issues, I am exploring the use of art to bring about change. Using found plastics and trash, the ugliness of environmental abuse, and the beauty of the natural world, I hope to create behavioral changes in the viewer.
